Are you feeding the plants? There's no UK gallon as such. Imperial gallons are used in the UK and Commonwealth countries - the old Empire and all that stuff. The official unit of volume measurement in the UK is the litre. Unless it's beer sold in a pub, in which case it's pints. Imperial pints of course. Not US pints. Buy beer...
