did my water change yesterday and dosed the tank. i dont see the ich spreading but there are still visible white spots. all the fish have been going crazy from the extra air and huge frequent water changes. i walked into the room this morning and it was a huge loach dance extravaganza.

i plan on using "rid ich +" by Kordon. i have an extra fluval 204 which is a bit underpowered for the 60 but its only going house 10 histies so it should do the job until i can get another filter or they grow out a bit. the 75 gallon has kubs, yoyos and sids along with the histironicas. its a loach ...

thanks for the encouraging words. i've been feeding the tank 3-4 times a day and everyone seems to be eating well and getting obviously full stomachs. im hoping if it is ick that it wont infect anyone else. as soon as i see a white spot on another loach i'll medicate the tank. i hate using meds unle...

i just happened to see some for auction right now. i've heard nothing but good things about the guy auctioning them so i wouldnt be worried about the quality. the price also includes shipping which would probably run 30 bucks any other time. if i had some extra money i'd buy them myself. http://www....

Petsmart halfed prices on YOYO loaches !!

they had been going for 6.99 and have been slashed to 3.50 " reduced to clear" if i remember what the tag said. i believe its company wide because i've checked 2 stores in my area. most of whats left are on the skinny side but i picked up one more that looked really healthy.

i've had really good luck with driftwood from petsmart and other local pet stores. the problem is you can never find a nice piece when you really need it. i check every time i go there and buy choice pieces even when i dont need them. its hard to find natural wood that has cool caves in it so when y...
