Pretty much any active fish would work. Tiger barbs are a common dither fish but most other barbs would work as well. Some of the larger rasbora species would work, as would rainbowfish, giant danios, etc.

What loaches are most compatable with clown loaches?

Hi, I currently have three 3" clown loaches in my 90g tank (48"x18"x24") and am looking for some more bottom dwelling tank mates for them. I am planning on getting a 72" tank at some point in the future (hoping to get 180g in the summer) so I am not too worried about getting larger fish. I'll probab...

Very nice. I was thinking of getting a group myself. Does anyone know if they would be good tankmates for clown loaches in my 90g tank?

Re: Tiger Barb Dither Fish

I have a hard time believing the your clown loaches are eating your danios. I have some zebra danios in with my clown loaches and never had a problem. I even had a zebra danio that was ill and hung out in the bottom corner all the time and being kind of lethargic and none of the clown loaches ever t...

Here is another picture of him after he was nice enough to sit in the front corner of my tank. http://www.davidjohnson.ca/images/whatisthisfish2.jpg He is probably not eel-like enough for a dojo/weather loach so Martin you might be right. He does look a fair bit like a Lepidocephalichthys hasselti.

Can anyone identify this loach?

I bought some Kuhli loaches today and when I got home and looked in the bag of fish in addition to the kuhlis I found this small fish which is at most 1 inch long. It doesn't appear to be a baby kuhli but I suspect it is a loach of some kind. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be? Sorry for the ...

My weather loach rests in the oddest places

Just wanted to share this image with everyone. My weather loaches find the oddest places to rest. This one decided to rest vertically in amongst the leaves of a plant.

Iridescent Sharks shouldn't even be sold for home aquaria. They can grow longer than your tank nikita  When someone asks me about Iridescent Sharks I show them this picture: http://www.jjphoto.dk/fish_archive/warm_freshwater/pangasius_hypophthalmus2.jpg They grow bigger than that too.

Kuhli's in 20g tank

I have a 20g tank. Is this big enough for Kuhli loaches and if so, how many could I put in there? The tank is 24"x12"x16" (LxWxH)

zebra loach behaviour

I have 3 zebra loaches in my community tank and on a few occasions I have witnessed one of them 'shadowing' some of my other fish. By shadowing I mean swimming side by side with the other fish almost like they are glued together and almost despite how fast the other fish swims the zebra loach is rig...

How many loaches?

I am in the process of setting up a 90g aquarium and am wondering how many loaches I can add to it. I will definitely be adding ~5 clown loaches and am also considering adding Kuhli loaches and weather loaches and possibly some hillstream loaches. Since loaches are mostly bottom fish, how many loach...
