Re: Will sewellia species breed together?
No, the different species do not cross with each other.
I keep five different species together and have no problems.

Re: New Sewellia!!
It's always the same problem in the LFS tanks, not enough oxygen, to high temperature and much to high bacteria load. The fish in the wholesaler tanks are mostly healthier. Unfortunately, it is often too late already. The Sewellia albisuera come in a mixed shipment with S. sp. spotted and also label...

Re: New Sewellia!!
Very nice find Jim! Good to hear that they are doing so well. A beautiful very active species, rare to find in the trade. I also have luck today i found in a mixed shipment a little G.viriosus and a Sewellia that looks like a real S. albisuera. http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/sewellia-albisuera...

Re: Age/size sewellia lineolata breed?
My aquarium breed S. lineolata start breeding at a size of 3,5 - 4cm and an age of about one year. A water change always stimulates the fish to spawn. Sewellia fry are very little, you need extreme good eyes or an good optician  Here some pics of the spawning an the jungsters: http://forums.lo...

I think G.ctenocephalus is right.
The spots of a typical G.scitulus looks a bit different.

Re: Anyone looking for Gastromyzon viriosus?
Thats great Jim!!
I hope you have luck with him.
Good size??
It's true in the winter months you can find the rarest species also here in Austria. Like Hypergastromyzon, viriosus....
And in the spring always nice large specimens.
But unfortunately G.viriosus are far too rare in the trade.
