You need to move the dojos to there own tank and keep it cool and fairly good movement Lots of oxygen. And keep it very clean. They will be much happier.

Re: New pics of rescued loach please help id
At first I was wanting to research so I could make sure that I cared for him as well as I could. But I've had him awhile now and has gone from "never out of his cave or swimming around" to eating out of my hand and tearing all over his 125 with my yo yo's. So he isn't aggressive and is obviously hap...

Re: New pics of rescued loach please help id
That was my first thought but he isn't a tiger. You can't see his stripes unless your shinin a light on him and they are just a bit darker silver than the rest of him. He has no markings on his face and no blue green tint either. I'm stumped. I even took him to a professor of mine (I am currently ge...

Re: New pics of rescued loach please help id
Ill try. I don't think so. His fins aren't red. And he has these faint stripes (vertical) on his body. And is just to long and his nose is really long to compared with the modestas I've seen. Thank you for replying. I hope to figure this out. Either way he is doing great. Very sweet. And living with...

Laanan... Small frequent water changes and use of prime when you do, or if you have a spike. They are a very hardy fish and have evolved to live in some pretty bad conditions but that is no reason to force them to. They are wonderful pets and when happy can learn to be very affectionate back. Mine a...

I feed mine small amounts 3-4 times a day. A lil brine or mysid shrimp here then some cyclopeeze there and then blood worms after lights out. They have done great this way since they were tiny. They are not overweight at all but have grown at a healthy rate.

If you email the owner of the wet spot ( contact info on the site) he can get way more than just the ones he has in stock. Wet spot is my local LFS and they have gotten me fish I couldn't find anyplace. Also the level of care they provide to there stock is unheard of at most places.

Dojo death I never saw coming be careful
I turned on my tank light to find my beloved gold dojo whom I nursed and hand fed back from near death stuck with his head sticking out of a tiny hole in a coconut that has been a cave of there's for years. He was stuck so tight I spent 45 min cutting him out with shears through tear filled eyes jus...
