Neil at Pier Aquatics had a few 6inch at a good price last time I was in. Other than that Aquarist classified had a few in Liverpool that were struggling to sell - dont know if there are still up but worth a look

Re: Worming - Flubendazole
Prazipro is also good. Not able to get it in the UK but those from ebay (com) are willing to post if you email them before hand. I find that and the discus wormer combined (separate treatments) usually does the job.

Re: loaches and other fish dying
When you say that your water parameters are fine, do you have the actual values? Do you use liquid test kits or the strips? How long has the tank been setup for and can you go through your water changing schedule, how water is treated. Do you also have the readings from your tap water? Do you have w...

Re: Overstocked?
To be honest your stocking is a lot lighter than what I have at the moment. In all fairness they are moving to a larger tank in the next month or two, but I have about 40 odd fish in a 240l which is around 50g and I do 70% water changes weekly and I feed heavy so compared to your tank I think your v...

Re: Overstocked?
IMO its not overstocked. The best way to suggest over stocking is if you are struggling to keep nitrates below 20ppm with regular water changes say 25% (to 50% say for messy cichlids etc) per week, with normal feeding etc.

Re: Pleco with Fin Rot?
I dont think anyone was having a go at your system. Many of use use simple systems just like the one you have described, there are tanks of mine I do not have gravel in and it poses no problems, and with goldfish and the amount of waste they produce I can see your point about keeping it cleaner with...

Re: Greenish/Whitish "Spot" On My Pleco's Nose?
Are you talking about the snout area above the mouth theres a slightly faded area? It to me just looks like its slightly rubbed from the photo - I personally see nothing wrong, it looks like a nice healthy fish. It could be that he might have rubbed it on a decoration or stone he was trying to have ...

Re: Dead cardinals, and a kuli
Have you done a test on your water recently? What values are you getting for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Personally I would be treating the entire tank not just quarantine as you have unexplained losses in the tankif your water quailty comes back within 'normal' range. You say there was no damage ...

Re: My tank tanks
You say the ammonia gets high after water changes. Can you explain in a little more detail how you go about changing the water, what treatments you use if any for the water, if you switch your filters off etc. Please give as much info as you can, even little minor details can explain a simple proble...

Well here are some pictures of female and her partner. They are not the best, fry blend in really well with my gravel it seems but you can see them under mum/dad if you look really close (I hope!) My Pelvicachromis taeniatus 'Kienke' pair have finally spawned and have free swimming fry. Im super chuffed, this female killed her last partner I selected for her but this guy seems to keep her happy. I have about 15-20 fry all clustered swimming around with mum and dad keeping the 'nasty' communit...

Cheers guys, Yep contacted other aquariums, their systems are different so couldnt give me a product type they used. We dont have a large water volume turnover and they do. I managed to get sorted with some sort of pool Seal, which is ideal

Aquarium safe paint
Do any of you guys know of aquarium safe paint in the UK? or Ireland. At the aquarium we are redoing one of our displays and want to paint the old concrete wall (its paint job needs redone) I cant find a paint so far, apart from pond paint but its a bit much for what we want. Anyone have any ideas? ...
