Re: Latest addition and not sure what it is.
Thanks for the feeding suggestion. It makes sense. I have noticed one of them briefly during the occasional daylight period so hopefully they are getting more comfortable. The camera is right beside the tank.

That is impressive! I like the water change plumbing idea. What are you thinking of using for filtration? What are your stocking plans?

Still trying to get some better pics however I have only seen these guys once the daylight goes off and just the lunar blue lights are on. It is proving to be quite frustrating.

28 year old tank............. that's a real good age. I never thought about a tank aging and failing before........... that could prove to be lot of expense and work!

Re: Pangio breeding tank design- opinions wanted
2900 gallons? That's a small northern lake! What kind of things would a person design in a fish room? Are all of your tanks in the fish room? I have a ton of questions about power distribution, plumbing, heating/cooling, filtering and so many more. I would like to learn more about your design.

Re: Latest addition and not sure what it is.
Thanks for the responses! Now I have a question; the designation "Pangio cf. anguillaris", could someone explain the "cf"? Apparently Pangio anguillaris and Pangio cf. anguillaris are different? Working on getting better pictures but these little critters are constantly moving or resting out of sigh...

Latest addition and not sure what it is.
We went fish store shopping across the border to a store called "The Fish Place" in North Tonawanda, NY. There was a tank there with 8 Eel Loaches hiding under a sponge filter. The fish store guy called them a "Golden Loach". With the loaches swimming willy-nilly in panic from the filter being moved...

Re: what happened to "Seriously Fish"?
I can get to a home page of sorts but then 404 errors everywhere after that. It has such great information that loosing access to it is very disappointed. Try as I may, I cannot find any information about what happened to the site. Aarrggghhh......so sad

Re: How should I set this 125g from scratch for clown loache
I never would have thought of acetone for cleaning. That would evaporate off the glass quickly. I like the tape idea for keeping the silicone on the seams even. So it is worked with your finger to create a cove profile and the tape ensures a consistent width. Would you use acetone on a rag to clean ...

what happened to "Seriously Fish"?
My two favourite sites to start an identification from is Loaches Online and another called "Seriously Fish". Does anyone know what happened to "Seriouslyfish.com" because I can no longer connect to it.... just a 404 error message.

Re: Is this common/natural variation in Pangio oblonga color
New to keeping loaches but the look is very similar to eel loaches that I purchased and were called "Golden Loach". Unfortunately the 8 that were purchased have not been seen since they were installed so there are no photos to positively identify from. Have you made an identification yet?
