I have only managed to get one of these guys (my most decent pet shop rarely gets them in) and would love to know which type he is in the hope of eventually being able to order some more of his own kind.
And when he/ she first came home

That was what I had sort of guessed but it doesn't seem as curved or chunky as the ones online. I really like him/ her (do all male Gastromyzon get the small whiskas or only some?) and am keeping my eye out for any more. The others I have which seem more common are G.scitulus. G. stellatus and G. ctenocephalus.

Some species have larger more prominent "whiskers" than others (compare scitulus and ctenocephalus). I don't know if there is any sexual difference though.
