hi-Distinguishing between B. Rostratas and Kubotais.

Can someone give some guidelines about this distinguishing please. I don't really want to end up with Rostratas when I ask for Kubotais :/

Botia Kubotai will have distinct spots more often than not.

A kub will have bluer spots by the looks on this picture, and a more distinct, rounder, and line along the body.

Rostratas will have joined or elongated dots.

But then, either loach is wonderful to keep so you don't really need to be so picky :P

Yes both Loaches are good-but are they different in temperament and are'nt Kubotais generally more expensive than Rostratas? :/

I think Kubotais also have a bolder and more distinct pattern when mature :)

Hi Directorate, Dont worry you will not get Rostrata in Australia. Kubotai YES - Rostrata NO they are not on the Importable List.
Cheers Graeme.
