Nice fish! Turquoise rainbows are probably my favorite rainbow... I had a few a while ago along with some other rainbows. But they seem to have an even higher o2 demand than most botias. I had an incident once where at night when o2 is low in my tank (planted tank) my supplimental nightime powerheads that agitate the surface failed, o2 levels apparently plummeted and I lost over half of all my fish including all my turqs and most the rest. I didnt loose any botia. For the sake of the fish I decided not to chance it and never kept them again. I suppose in my new tank I could, it should remain quite oxygenated at all times with large overflows going, but I've already decided on other stocking.

Nice rainbows. Your striatas look on the skinny side to me. What do you feed them? Try feeding more bloodworms and brine shrimp to get them to plump up. I have one skinny customer that seems to refuse all food except frozen shrimp and larvae of various sorts (I've tried medication but it seems to be a losing battle so far). The rest of them (I have 10 in total) were finicky to begin with, but now accept flakes and other foods.
Why does my aquarium always seem too small?
