Chef Keith et al,
Any thoughts on growing lotus in the open-topped aquarium?
We got a load of seeds (>150) from a croc-pond on the south-coast over the weekend, and I'm curious. I quietly expect the stems and roots to get gobbled up, and the AM sunshine may prove insufficient. My 1.5" of substrate is likely also insufficient once plant gets going. They may/will require replanting in the fall.

Will wash, score and germinate seeds in a cup and put cleaned sprouts into tank prior to root formation. Will keep you posted, if there is anything worth posting.....
