I went to dive in the same stream in the west of Thailand, the same place I have been diving the last 5-6 years. This time during the new year, there were so many people that they forced me to walk a little bit more up stream, into a new type of habitat. The reward was this set of Tuberoschistura sp. pictures. I got one of these rare loach, 4 years back, from local fisherman, but never know exactly how they live. This time, it was truely amazing to find them in their natural habitat.

Great photos,

It's neat to see how their natural colors help them hide.
