Yet Another B&W Loach Identification

So I got these at the LFS as kubotai. Now that they're getting older, I'm starting to wonder...

I'm showing both sides of this one, since he seems to look different on either side. It doesn't show as much in the photo, but he is much yellower than the other B&W.

What size are they? The first looks like it could be rostrata, the vertical striping with no beginnings of a dark lateral line connection between the bars. The second looks more like a kubotai to me.

They are both still babies yet. Just under 2 inches?
