You can actually see that in the comparisom photo I posted.Jim Powers wrote:I have two specimans that I believe are G. scitulus in addition to my ctenocephalus. Another characteristic I have noticed on scitulus is a small amount of red on the tip of the tail of some individuals. Has anyone else noticed this?
Martin.
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
From my limited obeservation, smaller Gastromyzon (G. ctenocephalus / G. scitulus ) have less coloration at their fins than bigger fishes, at caudal fin the smaller fish not just have smaller amount of red/orange color of its caudal, but also have bigger amount of colorless ? of the tip of its caudal fin.
