hide and seek HELP! (asap please)

Post by poeticpyro » Thu Feb 23, 2006 3:11 pm

is it possible for there to be too many hiding spots?
i recently removed a large (i mean large) ornament that took up a third of the floor space in my tank.. it was a huge castle with many caves and they could swim out of the castle in 100 different spots. my clowns rarely came out.. i had two other caves, on opposite sides of the tank in order to get them to pop their heads out, but they never did. now i took the castle away and they're ALWAYS out and swimming/dancing. they do not look unhealthy at all, but they refuse to hide in the newly provided flower pot and cave.. they just go into a plant..
should i put the castle back?
should i keep it the way it is now?
and is there such thing as too many hiding spots??? i really need some help on this.. any answers would be much appreciated, thanks.
many tanks...

got to love my fat little wobbly wigglies...

Personally, I prefer loaches lounging in plants to hiding in castles 8) Ornamental decor frequently has been the cause of stuck clowns/loaches around here. But clearly, the choice is yours...
