Schistura spilota

Post by Graeme Robson » Wed Mar 08, 2006 5:05 am

I found some nice Schistura spilota last week. I have to say that these loaches are Big! Very impressive when you watch them going by their business and that the others are dwarfed by them. I picked out some smaller specimens to bring home to hopefully watch them grow, now i'm pondering on the larger specimens. :? Nevermind, Here's one of them.

Nice Graeme! So exactly how big is that? I see from the thread about these on petfrd.com that they are REALLY voracious fish.

Martin.

Thanks. I would say that mine are at least 3 inches and slightly under-weight compared to the 4+ inch monsters in the lfs. After a couple of rounds of Bloodworm's, then all should be fine. I wouldn't say they have a temperament that is "voracious" but an "appetite" that certainly is!
