Great!
Unfortunately, our fall foliage, which is normally pretty spectacular, is only mediocre this year due to the drought conditions of the last three months.
So, I am really enjoying your outstanding pics. :D

Haven’t posted for while, so I’m gonna compensate that with an overload of fall pic’s

What nice motives there were, if I wasn’t such a late-riser like me, but thanks to our friends even I saw the sunrise once this year

Now I know, why they say, the mild morning light makes nice pic’s

What’s better that one “hilly”? Exactly, 2 “hillies” 

It looked so easy from the bottom …

Never saw fern that high

… at this point I started to get into trouble with the steep slope …

… and wished badly I was one of those chamois (some kind of mountain goat)

… it definitely became time to pray (I started to decline on my bum, using hand and feet. Starting to slip, would have meant slipping/rolling/bumping all the way down to the valley.

But the view was amazing

Back on safe grounds (more or less)

Danke Tanja and Menu

here some pic's and "fall-time-mood" from mud & water as this season is conquering the little valley nearby ...

Smooth runs the water, where the brook is deep

Yes William, but it’s dark,

grey,

and cold

getting closer – closer to nothing, but not close enough

good that I had not been put to speak my mind, for some reason it felt - as if the beaver flew south like a bird – how absurd

This is for you, for listening to my silence and for not hearing what was said – hear the drippy paddles?

Again, great pics!!
But, I am so envious, the leaves here are so much less colorful this year with more brown leaves and much fewer pockets of color. :(

NICE!! :D
If you get a chance, you might want to check out that body of water (in these latest pics) in the next few days or so.
The yellow conical shaped trees are the deciduous conifer, Eastern Larch or Tamarack. They develop a very nice, rich yellow color late in the color season and it looks like several are just getting started. A stand of Tamarack in peak color can be quite stunning.

Thanks for posting these pics and reviving this thread! I was just thinking about this the other day. What a beautiful place!!
What is the location?
I have not really been able to photograph the leaves here due to camera issues so I was hoping others would post. :D

Hi Jim,

all the directly above shown pic's are unfourtunately not mine, just found them in that Photo-forum which contains many nice motivs and photoshop skills as well - I can't keep up to those standards. I have no idea where the places are, some of them showed text attached, I went back and tried to find the text via those links, but could not. I should have copied the page-link instead of the pic's link.

I have no fall colour photos so far this year :(

It has been too windy, rainy and cold this fall in my area ...

However, early on a September Sunday morning on my way to a fish show and auction, I took this photo:

Not really fall colours, but fall was certainly on the way
