Is there something
on the market you can buy, which will pick things up from the bottom of the tank...like a very long pair of tweezers?
several companies make long tweezers or "grabbers," in a variety of lengths and prices.

From that list I have the last ones the Tom Aquatics Aquatic Gardener, cant fault them really. I use mine to grab and move plastic caves and logs in tanks 24" and 30" deep and would be lost without them (and very wet probably )
Pardon my honesty - I am a Northerner
14 loach species bred, which will be next?
I also have the one at the bottom of the list. The only problem I see is that the shroud around the hinge collects water. Drain them while you still have them over the tank. They are not very good for planting, but OK for coarser jobs.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
