This is a summary of the topic icons and what they mean.

Two general points
- Red icons are unread items, blue/grey are read
- A star on any thread means you have posted in it

For example:
- Read topic (No one has posted to this topic since your last visit.)
- Unread topic (Someone has posted to this topic since your last visit.)
- Read topic that you have posted in
- Unread topic that you have posted in

Other icon definitions (the blue=read / red=unread rule applies to these as well)
- Announcements from the administrators.
- Sticky thread
- Hot topic
- Locked thread
- Moved thread
- Forum with subforums
- Link forum

More icons:
- Attachment
- Go to last post in the thread
- Go to last unread post in the thread
- Subforum read
- Subforum unread

I find the sticky icons under the topics heading highly confusing. Can stickies be reduced or moved to the announcements area? The Freshwater Forum looks great and is easy to follow compared to the the Loaches and Fish Health Forum. I won't even go to the Fish Health forum anymore because it's too much work figuring out which posts are the most recent. I have to scroll down a 2 full screens just find new post. Thanks.

The moving "Hot Topics" icon is my favorite. I think if they all moved it would be confusing.

i think they are great, but the color differantiation could be a little better
