Salt to fresh water
I'm planning to take my goldfish from it's treatment tank where it was getting dosed with salt. I just want to know how long I should change the water before I can move it to my big tank? Ive already started replacing the water with diluted doses

Depends on how high the level of salt was, but I would move cautiously. Let it take a few weeks to a month if need be.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

i think she's about ready to move now very shortly. ive been doing steadily reduced concentration water changes for about a month and been adding fresh water (clean and contaminant free!) from the tank shes going into to. ive done a few larger fresh water changes since last week and my water tests match for the 2 tanks! (ive been really careful since this was the first time ive ever used salt as a treatment before and just wanted to check i was doing it ok)

When the fish is healthy, medication free, and the tank parameters match, then go ahead and return the fish to the main tank.

yeh, just moved her there. she looks so happy and the other goldfish came up and greeted her nicely with no fighting or anything! i can really see how being in a smaller tank impacts the size of a fish though since she's now half the size of her (once again) tank mate!
thanks for the advice! (yet again!)

Good she survived the treatment and is back with her friends. Let us know how she does.
