Hoplo Catfish

Post by starsplitter7 » Sun Jan 30, 2011 4:00 pm

I have a new little Hoplo catfish, and he's quickly stealing my heart . He's only 1.5 inches (I expect him to be 5), spots and very pretty --irredescent blues and pinks. He is very active day and night and nice to the other fish. He frequently schools with the cories or hangs out with the bristlenoses.

I know these guys are carnivorous and like a varied diet. Does anyone know anything else about these fish? Should he have a friend or two? He seems to be a very social and outgoing fish. Not afraid of anything. I like him very much. He will be part of the aquarium I am settling up for the show at the state fair.
