Just thought Id share

Post by Ashleigh » Mon May 09, 2011 1:24 pm

My Pelvicachromis taeniatus 'Kienke' pair have finally spawned and have free swimming fry. Im super chuffed, this female killed her last partner I selected for her but this guy seems to keep her happy. I have about 15-20 fry all clustered swimming around with mum and dad keeping the 'nasty' community fish at bay  I didnt even know that they had spawned :D

I will post pics when I can  yay!!

That is a cichlid for you! They can be very picky about their partners!
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

Well here are some pictures of female and her partner. They are not the best, fry blend in really well with my gravel it seems but you can see them under mum/dad if you look really close (I hope!)
