Betta Compartment

Post by FranM » Thu Jun 27, 2013 3:14 am

Hi.

I would like to either buy or make an enclosure for the betta to go into my 55 gallon tank, but I want something large enough for the betta to move around in. Ideally, in my opinion, I would think an enclosure that would span the width of the tank from the front of the glass to the rear about six inches deep would be sufficient. And in my case I would choose the side with the least amount of water agitation (not in the line of the waterfall filter or airstone). Seems that to get something this custom I would have to make it. I'd prefer to buy something done up but I have not found anything great. An item on Amazon got poor reviews because the suction cups became unstuck overnight and the betta(s) got loose. I have clowns and silver dollars so I'd never be able to have a community betta. Suggestions? If I do end up making something, which is the safe type of silicone to use and where would I buy pieces of acrylic? I figure I could drill holes in it for water circulation.

Thanks.
