Bamboo Shrimp in a Hillstream Tank???

Post by Lupine » Wed Aug 07, 2013 9:24 pm

Anyone keep Bamboo Shrimp (Atyopsis sp.) in a Hillstream Tank? They like current, but how much is too much?

I got one and he was a little "blown away" at first by the current but he has found places to travel thru and hang out where he can filter food. So, if anyone else is interested, they seem to do OK.

I have wondered how they would do. I have seen small shrimp find ways to move around the tank so as to avoid the heavy current so it makes sense that they would, too.

What temperature do you keep the tank at? I have read that bamboo shrimp need higher temps than hillstream loaches
