Rhinogobius with shrimps?
I've developed a desire to introduce some Rhinogobius fish into my aquarium. However, I read somewhere that they eat shrimps.
As I have a growing population of cherry shrimps in my tank I don't want to introduce a fish that will destroy them. The shrimps breed in the tank with the fish I have; white cloud mountain minnow, dappled cats and hillstream loaches. Does anyone know if Rhinogobius would ruin that?

Most likely, yes. If you have good hiding some shrimp might survive.

Thanks. I have good hiding which I assume is one of the reasons how they survive when tiny at the moment. But certainly don't want my larger shrimps being eaten up too.plaalye wrote:Most likely, yes. If you have good hiding some shrimp might survive.

Rhinogobius duospilus or whatever is available.plaalye wrote:Which sp. of rhino are you looking?
For example someone is selling them online but I'd also check a couple of my local shops too. But sellers rarely or never seem to state the exact species of fish like this.
But I've more or less shelved the idea of buying some because of my shrimp population.
