UV sterilisers

Post by Lakeland Loach Lover » Sun Apr 20, 2008 4:30 am

Anyone know anything about a Fish R Fun 9W UV steriliser for a 45l tank. Still needing help with my 3 Clowns with resitant to meds ICH (see earlier posting).

I know this is the right place to get the expert advice. Many thanks

3 clowns in a 12 gal (45L) may be too stressful, too small a space.

Perhaps you should spend that same money on a used larger tank. They are one fish that does need space. Perhaps a 40-50 gal 170-190 liter or something.

You don't have any other fish with them do you?

Just a few Zebra Danio. ICH came in with 2 new Clowns 3 weeks ago. Take on board the need for larger tank - just need to pursuade other members of my family!

Honestly,, you do need more space for these guys.

I believe that is why you keep getting ich. The clowns can't really swim in a 12 gal. They do need more space. They are being stressed.

Clowns are wonderful fish, they would be very different fish in a larger tank. My 4 clowns have grown an inch in 4 months in my 66 gal. I really love them.
