article describin 3 species of Acantopsis

Post by Bas Pels » Tue Oct 31, 2017 9:06 am

On Planet Catfish I found this link

https://biotaxa.org/Zootaxa/article/vie ... a.4341.2.1

To an article describing 3 new species of Acantopsis, from mainland Asia. Most striking for me is that A choirorhynchus is not a valid species, but a synonime of A dialuzona. I got to say, the latter name looks far less impossible to remember.

A dialuzona is the only species in Indonesia, but they are also found in mainland Asia, on the Malaysian peninsula.
