I've got baby sewellia!!!!

Post by Jim Powers »

WOOHOO!!! :D
Today while feeding the fish in my original river tank, I noticed something on one of the java fern leaves. It didn't look like one of the many shrimp in the tank as it was heavily marked. When I got a better look I could see it was a small sewellia fry "crawling" around on the leaf.
What a surprise!! I have seen the sewellia pair in this tank spawn on a regular basis for several months now. However, I have also seen the danios and white clouds line up in the current to catch the scattering eggs. Apparently at least one egg ran the gauntlet successfully. I sure hope there are more.
I guess I better check out the filter now. :D

I need to buy a new camera first. I was just looking at one this past weekend but am a bit strapped for cash right now.

Awesome. I know what you mean with those danios. Today my australian rainbowfish were spawning and of course, my zebra danios had to scoop up all of the eggs

Clowns-6 is a group and more is never too many, providing the aquarium is large enough.
