Vietnamese Marbled Hogface Loaches

Post by Emma Turner » Sun May 06, 2007 7:55 pm

These chaps (said by the supplier to be a new species) arrived last Tues under the name "Vietnamese Marbled Hogface Loach - Lepidocephalichthys cf. thermalis":

And here's a pic of Lepidocephalus (Lepidocephalichthys) thermalis for comparison:

These new Vietnamese Marbled Hogface Loaches are 2" TL and seem to have quite a degree of variability in their markings.

Thank you everybody. :D I really love Lepidocephalus & Lepidocephalichthys species, they are pretty, peaceful and always nosing about at what is going on outside their tank. 8)
