Excellent video Les. Is breeding these guys starting to feel like falling off a bike yet? That male is a particularly nice fish by the way. Well we have not seen much in the way of fry recently and this is the first spawning we have seen in the new tank. The male is actually one of the first two Ch...

Thank you all for the coments, I am very pleased with the way the tank ans turned out. The new tank is definitely a hit with the Cheni just take a look at this full on loach-on-loach spawning video ! The quality is a little crappy, i was grabbing the feed remotely from the web cam and didn't have th...

Hi Jannie, See the little red line: http://lh3.google.co.uk/image/dienyddio/Rj9dVdEC8nI/AAAAAAAAASs/nAYV2buA0JE/s800/stream.jpg This is supposed to represent a sheet of plastic or some other material that you can drill so that you can poke through outflow from the pump leaving the intake on the othe...

Good to see another addict! Martin is spot on with the first problem, back flow behind the partition, you could solve this by routing the outflows from the pumps through a solid partition. The second issue you will be fighting is the lack of a concentrated outflow, all the flow will be diffused acro...

You'll have to take some more vids so that we can see them swaying about in the strong current. I am in the process of getting a sensible stream from the web cam but in the mean time you can see what the fish make of the current . http://lh4.google.co.uk/image/dienyddio/Rj8b3tEC8gI/AAAAAAAAARs/KGwX...

Just one new image of the tank today. http://lh6.google.co.uk/image/dienyddio/Rjxj09EC8fI/AAAAAAAAARQ/8AKoyGBxvfU/s800/tank_stitch2.jpg A bit of an odd mix of plants at the moment, a number of them are just temporary to get them growing before adding to the old tank for the goldfish to destroy. Havi...

Very nice looking fish, from what i can see it looks like that one has quite a brightly coloured dorsal fin which is always nice to see :-) The behaviour sounds spot on for Cheni too, an entertaining fish, ours always seem to have something going on be it foraging for food, leaf surfing or playing k...

Argh! *Ahem* Thank you for the information Graeme, Susan will be glad to hear that Puntius gelius are off the list of options. Those Inlecypris auropurpurea are just stunning, i am incredibly lucky to have access to such experienced fish keepers who can provide pointers on all the beautiful fish tha...
