Re: What are these sores on my hill stream loach and what do I do about it
If the sore looks like an injury, it may heal on its own. However, if it appears inflamed or has a white or fuzzy appearance, it could be a sign of infection or disease. Your parameters seem good, but ensure there are no sudden changes in temperature or pH.Cookie Clicker

Re: Options for loaches without suborbital spine?
Yes, kuhli loaches (Pangio kuhlii) do have suborbital spines under their eyes. These spines can be used defensively when the fish feels threatened. While they are generally peaceful, these spikes can pose a risk to other fish if the kuhli is frightened and tries to escape.

Re: Desperate for help with golden dojo
It's good that the nitrates are down to 10 ppm, as high nitrates can be harmful to fish. However, it would be helpful to check other water parameters as well, such as ammonia, pH, and temperature, to ensure the water quality is optimal. connections game

Re: Feeding Dojos Veg
When feeding dojo loaches vegetables, it's generally a good idea to dice the vegetables into small pieces. This can help prevent the fish from swallowing overly large chunks and reduce the risk of choking. By cutting the vegetables into smaller pieces, you can still provide a varied diet for your do...

Re: Female Sewellia keep dying.
It sounds like you have had a difficult time with your Sewellia lineolata. It's unfortunate that the initial spawn did not survive and that you have had trouble keeping the fish alive. It's possible that the male is killing the other Sewellia, but it's also possible that there are other factors at p...
