Something rancid in my tank!
I was feeding my fish today and noticed something very ugly looking- heaps of brown matter- sort of algae like- maving back and forth on my driftwood. :? It's also spattered along my plants. I don't understand where this came from- I cleaned the tank only about half a week ago, if that! What is this...

AHM BACK! With more names that I didn't shove in, since I got my last loach  I named my latest loach, a weather loach, Double D. Mainly that's short for double decker because he really is a double decker loach  He is one HUGE weather loach and is definitely big enough to make two O_O I'm k...

My pH has always come out 7.0, no real variation, except when I was living in another town. Our towns water is actually at, quite literally 7.0. It's perfect water! ^_^ hahahahahaha that's the funny thing about Tanooki- I put in bog wood, I put in a big rock piece for him to go under, I try making h...

An update and pictures of my fishies!
Well I decided it was about time I showed off some pictures of my clowns now that they're a bit bigger, and my new clown Luigi that I got about a month ago now. So without futher adieu... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/joec_mishy/Fishies040.jpg Here's Lewellyn, my little baby clown. He's sti...

Tanooki hangs with the clowns, too! He always sleeps in their log with them! And always eats with their group! I hear stories of clowns and rainbows being buddies all the time. Very cute! I think people are too hard on rainbows. :? I find barbs much more mean than rainbows, but everyon...

Rainbows can be very strange. Patooti was in with baby guppies, and he never touched one of them in a mean way. I also heard of a Rainbow shark actually protecting a group of baby fish- what kind, I can't remember- in his cave when the mother died shortly after breeding. :? He kept other fish from d...

Hey, I don't see a problem at all. A 55 is an appropriate size. My rainbow shark (not an albino, but there's not a true difference in personality- they claim the albino is more docile and I've seen that in the albino my friend has. I don't know if it's true for all of them though!) It think the aggr...

 I was really laughing at the picture of Stripes and your other clown 'kissing'. I thought that right away, too! I find that very fascinating- so they feel life-threatened by eachother when they fight? A royal rumble as it were? No true tussles between my clowns yet, but I'm starting to think A...

Hi guys! I've basically ruled out the water quality theory- before the new clowns came in, everyone was completely fine. Then they came in and they were the very first to go- Now the reason I'm ruling it out, although it's a great theory, is the fact that it only affected clowns, and it only affecte...

Sad, sad time to be a clown owner
There's been a recent outbreak of a strange, devastating illness in the tank of one of my good friends. This has been happening to his clowns- he recieved some new ones, and they were getting along perfectly fine. Plump, brightly colored, active, playful, eating fine. Then one day one of them starts...

My LFS also orders clowns at a medium size as opposed to babies, due to the fact that A, if they are bigger, they cost more money, so it'll discourage just anyone from buying them. Also, if they're bigger, it'll make people wonder about the size they get to. But most importantly, the bigger clowns a...

My teeny tiny clown, Lewellyn, got his name from his big personality. He's so small but such a crazy fish deserves a big name. Alfie got his because he was so shy & cutesy. He acted the way Lewellyn looks- really meek and tiny. IndieJ got her name because she survived the big tank smash of '06...
