The driftwood is about 75% real, the rest artificial.

Something to think about - the frontosas - would they be OK in pH 7.0? If so, if you could gradually bring their pH to that level and introduce the clowns you should be ok.

In my experience with cichlids and loaches, as long as the loach is not small enough to fit into the mouth of the cichlid you ...

Interesting...

I've got my clowns in with a multitude of fish, and never once have I seen any aggression towards any of the others.

I do from time to time see them horse playing amongst themselves (arched back, grayed out stripes), but never anything towards the other fish.

Well, his time on this earth expired last night. I couldn't find any way to save him - I just woke up this morning and found him laying on the bottom of the tank upside down and not breathing.

Poor thing :-(

I've put a few broken up Hikari sinking disks into the tank a couple of times a week and they go absolutely nuts for it.

They were a little thin when I got them - not anymore though!

They also get algae wafers and Tetracolor Cyclopeeze granules fairly regularly, which they also eat like there is ...

I guess that's possible, but I would think that one of the other dojos would have gotten stuck in the past. I've got one in there that's about 9 inches long and very thick - this one in the photos is only about 6 inches long.

Dojo with a white "ring" around it

Can anyone identify what this is on my dojo? This white ring goes all the way around the fish.

Water has been tested and partially changed but this won't go away.

Suggestions for treatment?

I too have had really bad luck with horsefaced loaches. I actually setup a tank (based on suggestions here in the forum) with sand as substrate and cycled the tank using some danios. I added the horsefaced loaches and they lasted no more than a week one at a time. They would lose their color ...

I hate to dig up an old thread, BUT, why does it seem that when I use any type of algae killer chemicals that I get a blizzard of planaria out of the filtration system on one of my tanks?

I realize that it's from overfeeding - not from undercleaning in my case though...
