It can be that the inner ear is damaged on one side so that the sense of balance is , well yeah, off balance. In that case it needs more orientation points in the basin, especially sand for the ground. If it is something like this, it will gain controll over the next few weeks, but will allways show...

Today I heard this one and it made me, like allways, turn the radio very loud and then a little louder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3ns9rtVBEc&feature=related Herbert Grönemeyer Sie hört Musik nur wenn sie laut ist She sits the whole day long on her windowsill Letting her legs dangle to music Th...

Thank you Helen. The other clown's fate is not decided yet. They are still quite shy, fast breathing and not eating. The first and the last are surely an effect to the brutal change into the new aquarium. It's the breathing thing that worries me. Lots of fresh water and some conditioner should help.

I thank you all for your sympathy and advice. As planned I tore apart the whole tank today and found nothing whatsoever. The water parameters were ok, no foul black areas in the underground, the wood was without any signs of decay, no tinfoil part from the frost food blister packages aso. When I rem...

Thanks guys. I'm cluless myself Mark. Normally they don't drop dead all together at the same time, unless it's something poisonous in the tank. As a precaution I put the rest in another tank, canged water and added some conditioner. Tomorrow I'll rip apart the aquarium, filters, deco aso. and try to...

I killed my clowns ...
and I don't know how. Tonight I went into my fishroom and found 5 big clown loaches dead in the tank. Alas, two of them where the supposed spawning pair, mentioned in a thread a few month ago. Now I know at least for sure that it was a couple. They had bloodshot and empty intestines and shallow skin...
