ok, so when i estimated $90 for the q-tank heres what i factored in: $15 for tank (and screen top) $25 filter (aquaclear mini) $20 heater (tronic or visitherm?) $10 for 10 lbs of gravel $20 for plants and a cave i'd think having gravel in the tank would aid in making the fish more comfortable, espec...

hey all, been a month or so since i last logged in still looking for some B. Kubotai for my 70g, the local fish shop that can order in fish cant find an importer than has kubotai in stock, they are in high demand apparently.. petsmart has some, but all the fish i bought from them died within days so...

if you think the killing of crabs and lobster for food is cruel (simply putting them in boiling water) or even cows and pigs, i recommend you never look on the PETA site for what they do to chickens in the slaughterhouse :(

what do you mean by 'normal' ammonia levels?

ammonia and nitrite should be at zero, and nitrates should not exceed 30 ppm

i feed my betta squished ants and mosquitoes hahaha, i wouldnt feed live as i'd be afraid of the ant biting the insides of the fish

hes still alive and kickin, so i guess its safe, just as long as there is no pesticide (such as raid) ANYWHERE in or around your house
