Hello and I hope this finds everyone doing well. I am headed toward the big "D" and as much as I hate to do it, I have to downsize my animal and fish family. I only know of one person who is local to me on this board and I have contacted him, but wanted to check and see if there were any new members...

Good luck with your clown, scary situation there. I hope things work out for ya. I am a big fan of clean clean water, so stay on top of that. Keep those levels at 0 if you can with frequent water changes. Right now the last thing your clown needs is any stress from amonia or nitrites, they can creep...

I guess it's hit or miss with PetSmart. The guys I got were around 2inches or over and all looked great, but I have seen other times when this was totally not the case. Guess I got lucky this time. These little guys are so cute.

Hi Jeremy, What temperature are you maintaining your Dojo tank at? This will be the main factor in determining whether any alge-eating species will be suitable. Bristlenose catfish ( Ancistrus sp.) don't like it much cooler than 23 deg C (73 deg F) which will be at the high end of the Dojo's prefer...

I have done a lot of research on coldwater fish and to make a long story short my 3 dojo's share a tank with 2 fancy goldfish. Wish we had more choices but that's all I have been able to come up with.

I am not sure you should try to get loaches out of their hidey holes. They like them. And you do not have to clean your tank all that often, you just upset the fish. OK, maybe I was vague on my post.
