I used to have an 8 inch Eel of what I assume is the same species. I used to fill him up with bloodworms then populate the tank with ghost shrimp before leaving town for a week or two. Good luck and let's see some pics of this specimen 8)

Great looking fish Martin, excellent photography as usual. Are these fine specimens in your rivertank or another aquarium?

You'll never find any cool specialty stuff in the big box stores (petsmart, petco, petland, etc), whether it be fish or aquarium accessories. It's your mom & pop, hole in the wall stores that can get you and might stock irregular items and fish. The local privately owned stores will usually order al...

Surely water temperatures in their natural habitat do not change that greatly everyday, water temps change much less than air temps. I would also be curious about seasonal temperatures, as I'm sure they vary.

Oh yes, I'm aware. I've come to know that interest of yours after following you on here for the past few years and browsing your photobucket - though I admit it's been a long while since I browsed it. I must say you have excellent taste in both cars and fish 8)

Martin, great job with this one, I like it and hope to see more. 8) Have you ever edited any pictures with the filters on Photobucket? I've done some cool things to pictures of cars at car shows and the like with those filters; my two favorite are colored sketch and fresco. You should check them out...

Well you need at least three more clowns... the problem, however, is that your tank is not large enough to accommodate such a group of loaches.

Are the kubs a particular favorite of anyones? I love their markings, but they are kind of hard to find around here. I'm thinking of making them (10-12 individuals) the center piece of a 75 gallon I'm planning on setting up in the next couple of years. What do you guys think? Kubs are definitely on...

It's interesting, as soon as I got these fish home they stopped the greying out of half their body - they look like kubs again :) I mean even before they hit my water. They resumed normality either during the ride home between my legs or during the acclimation process. So, while I'd spoken of some p...

Well pics you will get because I just got back from the store and picked up the largest two. There is no doubt in my mind they are kubotai, but I am interested in this greying as I've never seen kubs do it. I was also surprised (and pleased) to notice today that the store now carries Boesemani Rainb...
