Re: Pangio breeding tank design- opinions wanted
The design part was mostly what size tanks, what layout, and how many tiers can I get in the space I have. I am using about half of my basement for the fish room with one additional 75 gallon in the living as a show tank. I have acquired some of the tanks but not all of them yet. I will have enough ...

Re: Latest addition and not sure what it is.
Its hard to tell for sure from the picture but it appears that they may have a distinct brown line down the midpoint of the head and extending down. Check out the Pangio cf. anguillaris entry as well as P. anguillaris on the main site. I would be fairly confident its one of the two, depending on the...

Re: Pangio breeding tank design- opinions wanted
I have not had the time to build the tank yet, in the middle of a complete fish room redesign. When I am done I should have around 2900 gallons of tanks, then one of the first projects after fish tetris will be to try to build this tank

Re: Clown loach eating other fish.
Loaches are opportunistic, while they don't typically hunt other fish if they see an opportunity to eat a smaller fish they will. Some of the more aggressive Botiine loaches will sometimes go after smaller fish. I would move the endlers to another tank or they likely will slowly disappear.

Pangio breeding tank design- opinions wanted
So, I want to design an aquarium (I'm thinking a 40 breeder) specifically to breed Pangio sp. Right now I have a group of P. semicincta that I am bulking up so I would try it with them if I build it. This is my idea- I would get some plastic mesh with a 2mm hole size, cut it to fit the aquarium bott...

Moose faced loaches
I picked up a couple of these this weekend. Very excited to get to keep them again, I haven't seen them available in years. I love seeing the moose tracks and watching them feed by sifting through the sand. I put in requests for more so hopefully I will be able to get a group of 5 or 6 and learn eno...

Thanks, Jim. Ted is a member of our club and hasn't responded yet so he may not have anything at the moment. I'll pass on the site!

Anyone have Sewellia lineolata for sale?
I have a fellow member of my local aquatics club that is looking for some Sewellia lineolata. Is anyone in the Midwest breeding them with extras available for purchase?
Thanks
Thanks

Has the forum considered Breeding Reports as a site function
So, I was on Planet Catfish the other day as I got some new catfish ( Scleromystax kronei ) and wanted to learn more about them. They have a helpful list of who on the site is keeping and who has bred a particular catfish. I thought since loach breedings are becoming more frequent but still not comm...

Blasting sand for loaches?
I have a question for the group. I just got some Black Diamond medium grade black blasting sand as a substrate for freshwater shrimp. Does anyone have experience using this with loaches (specifically Pangio species)? I have heard reports that some blasting sand can be too coarse but this brand and g...
