I would lift the stump. Anytime I've shaken or nudged an ornament a loahc was in, it would only further stay inside and not come out, or hide in an even more tight spot in the ornament. It knows your out to get him, lol. I would life the stump and see, also... maybe check the filter? It could have j...

Hey guys... Looks like we will get to the bottom of this. I think its either the temp or hiding places... or a combo of both. I wouldn't keep more then 3 clowns in your current set up. Especially since they will grow. One cool hiding place my clowns like to hide is in a tealite candel holder turned ...

Awwww that's soooo sad.
It happens to my clowns all the time... my pleco just sucks on the waffer and the clowns wait for their turn.

My gold sailfin mollies (the male) nudges the pleco and scares him somtimes... it's funny.

Very cool. The only thing I've done remotely similar is add 3 fans to my computer. I don't understand how you did the power part though? And I have the same sinking wafers as you, lol.

:!: Yeah proof is needed. I need to see a birth certificate or something. Does the loach have a drivers license or passport by any chance?

$100 is a lot... If you love the guy and just don't have room, wouldn't you want to send him to a good home... not try to make a porfit off of him? :?:

I had a few Striata with my clowns before. They actually fought over food. Like not play fight, they brought out the spines and everything. The Striata was so agressive and chased the clowns away even though they were half the size of the clowns. At one of my LFS, they call them "Zipper Loaches"

I think if you increase hiding places inthe tank the "grumpy" one will feel more safe and come out more. The more spots loaches can hide = the better chance you will see them come out... it's funny how it works that way!

Hey guys, Thanx for the replies. I was checking them out because they finally started eating again after de-worming. I put the lights out for tonight... I will check tomorrow about the dorsal fin. I noticed on one loach, a tiny white spec, like ich, so I treated for that raising the temp to 80f (it ...

On a scale from 1-10, (1 being least important and 10 being very important) how important is light in a loach tank. Like with bring lights (ie. LFS) will they be stressed, or can they grow to live with bright lights? Clearly dimmer lights is the ideal situation. But how important is it?

Well it sounds like you've done some research and you love clowns. That's always a good start. Aside from what people post in this topic, also check out previous topics on the forums and archive.

The main tank has been set up for 6 months. I moved the clowns to the qTank, which was set up for about 3 weeks. I was cycling it with the gold fish. The clowns only started flashing after about 3 days in the qTank. Here are some close up photos of the clowns. They almost look like they are fine. Th...

Yeah... lol, I guess I'll have to try that. My cameras are ok... maybe its just the setting or how to take photo...
