I just noticed the tank's leaking out the bottom somewhere. It's lost well over an inch of water over the last couple of days. Looks like I'll have to rip the tank down and try to reseal it. I'm not happy

I don't think you'll get great results. Cucumber plants need high levels of nutrients to fruit well. Table two in this pdf has some numbers- way higher nitrogen and phosphate than you'd want for fish. I think the plants would survive ok, but you'd only get tiny fruit which wouldn't ripen well.

Definitely, it's a simple design but works so well. My fish would also like to say thanks Martin :) if you have a g...

Finally added fish today :D The tank looks a lot better with a few more plants. I took some anubias nana cuttings from the cheni tank and tied them onto bits of pipe, looks quite good 8) http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z80/Matt_Rock/Botia/DSCF9274.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z80/Matt_R...

It's unusual to have a high pH with low KH and GH, but it can happen. GH and KH are more important for the fish than pH, and your levels of these are fine for clowns. I'd stick with the water you have, and loaches should do fine provided you acclimatise them properly. I have very soft water here (KH...
