My experience is just the opposite- I've seen my otos happily stuck to a leaf in the direct flow from a powerhead quite often. Mine get all over the tank- low and high flow areas. I'd say it's fine as long as theres some part of the tank without much current, so they can take a rest if they want to.

Lovely fish Mick- I'd go with Jim's ID. None of mine are as finely reticulated as your second shot- that's a really pretty fish. Les, my cheni will pick at bloodworm and brine shrimp, but they much prefer algae wafers and sinking pellets. I've been trying Ocean Nutrition sinkable wafers recently, an...

Have you read this Dirk? http://www.loaches.com/articles/sexing-and-breeding-pseudogastromyzon-cheni There are differences in body shape and colour as well, but they won't be easy to spot in small fish. These are the best photos I have of my two biggest fry- they're over an inch now, but still much ...

New tank
A few weeks back my kubotai and garra tank developed a leak in one corner. Money's a bit short at the moment, but I managed to get hold of a drilled and divided 4 foot shop tank cheap. It's been a bit of a scramble trying to get it set up, and I still need to make a hood for it, but I moved the firs...
