Loach with Italian pasta
Hi *@*, a few years ago I tried giving my loaches a piece of cooked Italian pasta* and the response was very positive, they seem to really love it. One or two pieces are more than enough for 20-30 small to medium sized fish. I do this regularly now (1-2 times a week) as an alternative food and never...

Re: Share your Loach Movies!
I accidently dropped some food pellets onto the glass someday and, while watching the tank from the front, I saw a loach disappearing from the water and coming back a few seconds later.  That got me thinking and I put some food deliberately on the glass bar and what you saw in the video...

Loachy socks
Hi *@*,
since I love loaches just as much as most of you do, I convinced my girl-friend to make me those:
My very own clown loach style hand dyed and hand knitted socks.

Re: New additions
Don't worry about the tiny striata .. worry about your clowns. Mark my words. :-pfish_frenzy wrote:Once finished quarrantine, they will share a 50G until they grow out a bit. The Clowns will be with these guys for a bit as I worry about them being so small in the same tank as my 6 & 7 inch guys.

Thanks again to everyone for the help. @shari2 I never used carbon in my filter. @Tinman I cleaned my small QT tank and set it up an hour ago. The alpha is already moved and very active. It was a breeze to catch it: 1. Startle the fish a little 2. Grab the PVC pipe with the loach inside 3. Done :) T...

My water change schedule was 60% every 2 weeks, right now I do 60% every week (I was doing a VERY slow water change after the salt tre...

My alpha clown loach needs your medical knowledge
Hello *@*, my alpha clown loach is sick for several months now and quite frankly, I have no clue what else I could try anymore. Perhaps someone of you has a bright idea what to do now. I will try to be as detailed as possible. Sorry for the large pictures but I want to give you the best information ...

@ chefkeith Couldn't agree more. Tubes and loaches are kind of made for another. Loaches were a horror of mine to net in before I added tubes. Now they're the easiest fish to catch. :) @ starsplitter7 I had thought about doing that with my gravel but wasn't sure ... I think I got accustomed to them ...

Finnatic,
impressive amount of tanks. ^_^
If you want to give water monitoring a try I can recommend 5-in-1 sticks like these: http://www.jbl.de/factmanager/frame_pag ... e=2&Id=102
Cheap, easy to use and very effective.
