I currently have my loaches in a 55g with 120 g worth of filtration... how may loaches do you guys think i can keep in there? (fairly small ones...working on another upgrade) i've had some casualties over the last few months due to moving and whatnot...so i have 3 2"clowns, 2 2"-3" yo-yo's and one g...

if you can take the filter material out of your old tank and put it into the large tank then you can move them right away... cycle bacteria is pretty useless because it doesn't really work. but the filter material should be enough to make sure the tank will be able to handle the loaches bio-load.

that's too bad...i really wish i could help....when all else fails quarantine and do a PWC.....I hope the rest of your little buddies make it....go easy on the chemicals, it weakens them and if it doesn't seem to be helping then i'd cut it out.....turn the tank heat up a bit and make sure to add ext...

yeah, my loaches like to nap on their sides...especially the clowns...sometimes the yo-yo's are caught doing it too, but they are usually out and about exploring....
also agree with emma, need more to make him happy....

this is by far my favorite of the 3 'tanks' you posted...i totally love all the gorgeous plants...what is the name of that pink and purple flowery looking plant? it's really nice(is it hard to maintain?)... i bet the fish in there are really happy...you are doing a good job with all your fishies....

i like the castles and your kuhli looks big and fat....lol....you are right it would be hard to grow plants in there...besides the low light, i think the yo-yo's would just trash them.....looks good to me....if you want to add some stuff for the kuhli's you could throw in a few fake chunks of grass....
