Hi all

Goodish news !

just to let you know that we still have the poorly loach, the Nitrite level is down to 0 (yipee), all of the fish seemed to have perked up with the Melafix and we are nearly at the end of the 7 days. The loach still has the lump near anal fin and on side but both have ...

Okay we have got the medication, have done a partial water change (25%) and have removed the carbon element of the filter, and added the Melafix.

So thanks for all your help and suggestions they have been great, FINGERS CROSSED for a recovery of somesorts, I will keep you all posted.

Hi Emma

We actually live in Great Shelford in South Cambs, near Trumpington, and have Scotsdales, Petpaks at hardwick, if you could advise of any other would be great.

Quick update on the fish, the large lump/ulcer /growth near the anal fin has acutaly popped !

So the concensus is to use Melafix, is this commonly available within fish suppliers or do I have to go elsewhere for this?

We will cut back on the food and have already started the more frequent water changes.

I am desperatly trying to upload pics. for you to see, but not having much luck so far.

Thanks for your reply,

We were aware that the tank is too small and there are plans underway to move to a bigger one.

We have upped the temperature to 80, and funnily we had already dropped the water level by an inch so that there was more a turbulant flow, we do also have an air stone along the ...
