Baby Clown Loaches In Stores... Again.

Dropped by the lfs again today, and they had baby clown loaches brought in again. This time, they were half of the size of the last ones, almost newborn from what I could tell... I still don't understand why people even catch them to begin with... They never look "alright"... almost sickly. *just th...

Very small clown, can they even sell at this size??

A few months ago, I bought this baby clown loach for 4 dollars, it ended up dying from fungus (went through and killed almost all of my freshwater fish). But, I was wondering, can they even sell at this size?!? When I got it, a small male guppy was larger than it. It was maybe about an inch long or ...

I usually only use tahitian black moon sand in all of my tanks. Sadly kuhlis and stuff like that don't dig in it for some reason. I've never even gotten spiny eels to dig through it, which is suprising because ones like the peacocks live in the sand like 90 percent of the day.

Yeah, you'd definitely would benefit from testing your tank and trying to find the problem. The reason is because weather loaches are extremely hardy. My cousin has a 5 year old one too that was his first fish and it went through countless ammonia spikes, heater malfunctioning and killing all his fi...

Well, it should co-exist with the clowns. My cousin houses them together with no problem, have seen others doing the same too.

The yo=yos are another story. They're pretty small and the oscar is most likely going to eat them or attack them.

I would leave the oscar out imo.

Kk thx. I've only had a semi-planted tank twice so didn't know much about it. When I first started getting inot plants they were fine and growing like crazy. Once I started to heavily plant the tank they all started to die, I was thinking co2 was lacking or something. Ah well, osrry about all the du...

Concerns, high oxygen level with plants

As all know hillstream loaches require high oxygen levels and plants need carbon dioxide to survive.

So how do you all make the two work? I'm sure there is a very simple solution but i'm a little stumped at the moment lol.

Ok, getting some ideas on 30 gallon tank

Ok, as you can tell from my old post I wanted to get some hillstreams. Well I think I may do a 30 gallon. I'm going to set it up like martin's or all the other hillstream enthusiasts tanks.
