Las Vegas Loaches Free for Adoption to a Good Home!
Hey folks, It's with a bit of sadness that I have to part from my clown / yoyo loaches. I've had these guys for about 4 1/2 years now and personally rescued 3 of the clown loaches from neglected tanks. In total there are 8 clown loaches, 4 yoyo loaches, and 1 plecostomus (all loaches are around 3-4"...

The Aquaclear line of HOB filters have good sponges for this. They will need cleaning to keep the flow of water going, but will keep a LOT of the sand out of the filters. A slightly coarser sponge will work, too, and does not have to be cleaned quite so often. You may have to find this in the pond s...

Those are some nice looking loaches and a cool setup. I would however, highly recommend a solid black or blue background to hide your cords. you wont believe the difference it makes. Good idea, I may purchase a plain black background for the tank. I'm looking to get a 120 gallon tank too. Can you t...

Thanks for the comments! Regarding your questions: The PVC pipe I used is more properly called Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene or ABS pipe (as opposed to Polyvinyl Chloride or PVC). I referred to it as PVC just as more of a generic term. It is available from most home improvement stores and comes in...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I don't think the revamp would've been possible without the advice from these forums. Regarding the sand on top of Eco-Complete - I read on a plant tank forum that the sand will eventually sift its way through the eco substrate until it reaches the bottom. I've al...

Hey guys, I recently stumbled upon this ebay store which is *filled* with incredible pieces of driftwood that would make excellent hiding places. http://stores.ebay.com/RockArtSource If I had a bit more cash and time I'd probably pick up some of their pieces because they look excellent. Cheers. EDIT...
