What is the key to differentiate between Sinibotia and Leptobotia in this case?

Is this common in the aquarium trade in Japan?

The modified setup is looking awesome!

I would definitely advise sticking the backdrop to the glass wall. It is almost definite that the loaches will find their way behind it.

I've kept them in tank of about 28deg and they fare well.
Like what the people have mentioned, they become more shy as they age.

I used to have one that came in as a contaminant as well. Definitely a good find!

thanks for the compliment! it was near feeding time so everyone is out looking for food. On a lazy morning, the tank is pretty quiet and only a few are out for a swim.
