If you are able, try to post bigger image files - these appeared very small on my monitor. I'm sure we will hear more on this as others give their opinions.
The images are clickable, but if they're too small in full view - I'll post bigger ones.

They are very alike. Probably it's much easier to id them correctly if you've already kept both sp. and know the difference.
I compared my pictures with the p.semicincta pics on this site - the bands on my ...

Hi Maire,

Were these all bought at the same time, from the same batch?

To me, it looks like you have B . histrionica and B. almorhae . :? See what everyone else thinks.

Emma

Please forgive me my bad English, I had a Russian definition of the term, translted it ="suborbital". To be sure, I went to the LOL's Glossary of Terms - it clearly says "Suborbital".

[quote="mickthefish"] Good advice!)))

My botias are so afraid of the net that it's impossible to catch them with it. I'm trying to get them comfortable with the net ... suppose the process will take a lot of time.
Last week my new 180 l tank got a leak and I had to tranfer all the fish into my old ...

Suborbital spines

Can someone show me the suborbital spines?
I know they exist, I heard the clicking sounds, I know they can be poisonous/allergic, and can get tangled in a net. But I've never seen them.
Are there some pictures or drawings of the spines?
Please, don't let me suffer from unsatisfied curiosity

Hi again.
In my last reply I mentioned that my most mysterious loach is getting new stripes - today I tried to take a picture of him. He is so beautiful!
