I feed them finely crushed flake food and quick softening shrimp pellets along with New Life Spectrum H2o Stable wafers and NLS growth food. They all go nuts for the wafers and shrimp pellets...oh, I also give algae wafers too!
I have plenty of cherry shrimp and amano shrimp to clean up leftovers ...

Babies galore!
Happy New Year to all!
I started with 4 Sewellia lineolata. I now have 21 that I have counted as of today. I have fry of 5 different sizes and they appear to be thriving! I love watching them at feeding times (with all the babies, I now feed 4 small meals a day). I have yet to see any breeding or ...

I use a square horse grain scoop to move my loaches from tank to tank. I drain the tank to about a third, remove the ornaments and plants etc. Once everyone stops spazzing, I place the scoop with the opening towards the back of the aquarium, leave the room and come back in 10 minutes or so.

I have babies!
I was doing a water change this morning and found 4 little (1/4 to1/2") baby Sewellia lineolata! There may be more as there are tons of hiding places in the tank. I have a good amount of algae in there also. I usually throw in a algae wafer every second day and a few shrimp pellets every day. I am ...

My first attempt at keeping Hillstream Loaches-update
The hubby decided these would look "cute" in out 28G bowfront tank. Grr! I have never kept these guys before and this tank is...was, designated as my Yoyo breeding attempt tank.
Anyhoo, will this 28g tank serve well as a quarrantee tank for 3 of these guys? I believe they are Sewellia lineolata ...

Did you run the tank with charcoal in the filter to remove the meds completely before adding the loaches? Most (maybe all) loaches are sensitive to medications and that could be bothering them...could you post your tank parameters for the experts on the site so they can better define any problem ...

Something is not right. Do an immediate 30-40% (this is what I would do) water change and check ammonia levels, nitrite levels and nitrate levels.
Also, what is your temperature and have you added any new fish to this tank? How often do you do water changes? How big is the tank? How much water do ...
