Thankyou Diana. After reading more about mycobacteriosis I have noticed there are alot of symtoms present in my fish. I hope I'm wrong though. I have managed to get hold of some epsom salts (now that was a hunt and a half!) and will begin treating the tank for dropsy tomorrow. I was wondering - seei...

Thats really strange - I had the same problem when I first got dojos! The red marks you describe - were they like red bruises under the skin? I only bought one at a time and I got through 4, then I gave up for a couple of months and then tried from a different LFS. I think they must have been a bad ...

Thanks guys - yeah I don't know much about goldfish either! When we got this fish it was shaped exactly like the other one in the tank, which is still slim. When she feeds from the top she is really struggling with her balance - she flips over then kind of struggles for half a second before trying a...

As you can see (hopefully!) the fish isn't symetrical, she was, but she seems to be very very slowly becoming more uneven. This swelling has occured over, I would say, the last 9 months or so.

Thanks for pointing out my feeding error - I was told before that it was best to feed the only a few times a week as fish are scavengers and it is good for them to do this. After reading the sticky post I have now been feeding all my fish small amounts morning, evening and before I go to bed. So tha...

Very fat shubunkin! Advice please!

Hi there, my son has two shubunkins, one is very streamline, the other is very fat! They were both slim when I got them but then after about 6 months one of them bloated up. I thought this was just because she was a female and just maturing, but now my mum has been round and seen it and has made me ...

Where can I buy Flubenol 15 in the UK?

I have a weather loach with anchor worms and flubenol has been recommended to me as the best way to get rid of them. Trouble is, I can't seem to find where to order it from! Any suggestions or websites? It isn't even listed on Ebay suprisingly.

I don't think so, althought the only time I have really seen ich up close was on my clowns a while back, so I can't be sure but I think it unlikely. Unfortunately I cannot get a pic as they are so tiny and the fish won't stay still long enough. They look like planaria, but they are all over the fish...

Will Interpet No. 12 get rid of anchor worms?

I have treated a weather loach and two shebunkins with Interpet No. 12 (anti crustacean parasite) but I keep reading that you have to pull anchor worms out of fish with tweezers?! It does not say anything about this on the bottle so I am a bit confused as to what will happen. Will the worms just die...
